With EU support via the DALIA Rivers Revived Open Call, we launched a project to preserve the Krivaja river in Zavidovici.
The KRIOT project (Krivaja is Our Treasure) aims to protect the Krivaja river through a systematic approach that includes mapping ecological resources, community education, and direct action.
Key project activities
- Mapping ecological resources and threats in the Krivaja basin
- Establishing a network of volunteers and local coordinators
- Educational workshops for schools and communities
- River and riverbank cleanup campaigns
- Development of a GIS system for monitoring conditions
The project is implemented in partnership with the Municipality of Olovo and the Rivers of BiH movement.

The KRIOT project has indirectly received funding from the European Union, via the DALIA Rivers Revived Open Call under the DALIA project (Grant Agreement no. 101094070-DALIA).
